'The Portrait' is a YA fantasy novella about Noora, an 18-year-old Algerian-Finnish art student, who becomes obsessed with the mysterious portrait of a woman she finds in an antique shop. One day, the portrait is stolen from her, and she goes on a journey to find it with her South-Korean adopted sister, Mina, who struggles with an undiagnosed eating disorder.

Children's Story

This is an excerpt from one of several short mysteries written to be read out loud to children in the class. The children were supposed to solve the mystery based on clues given throughout the story.

Quaint Country Cottage

A suspense short story about a young decorator from London who has just bought an abandoned cottage in the English countryside and wants to spend the weekend renovating it.


6th place/1st honorable mention at the 2021 NYC Midnight Short Story Challenge.

The Fox Who Wanted to be a Wolf
